The Diploma is open to anyone who has at least 2 years previous experience or relevant level 3 qualifications from the iam or other bodies.

IMIS

Diploma

Successful completion of the Foundation Diploma level examinations.
GCSE (or equivalent) with passes in 4 subjects, including Mathematics and English at grades C and above (or equivalent).
Candidates of 21 years of age and over with two year's work experience relevant to computing or a related field will also be eligible. An employer reference will be required.
Candidates of 19 years of age and over may be admitted on receipt of a letter, from the college where the student is registered to study for IMIS qualifications, attesting to their suitability to study at this level.

Higher Diploma

Successful completion of the Diploma level examinations.
BTEC National Certificate/Diploma in Computing
BTEC National Certificate/Diploma in a related subject with a significant computing element.
GCSE (or equivalent) with passes in 5 subjects including Mathematics and English. ‘A’ Level in a computing subject and one other ‘A’ Level. Two passes at ‘AS’ level may be considered in place of one ‘A’ level pass.
Other appropriate educational qualifications deemed equivalent to the IMIS Diploma level examinations.
Candidates that are 21 years of age or over with four year's appropriate work experience relevant to computing or a related field may also be considered

BCS

Certificate in IT

This is the foundation level of Higher Education Qualifications.

This level is the academic equivalent to Year 1 of a UK university honours degree and is recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) as Level 4.

No formal entry restrictions, candidates typically educated to UK GCE A-level standard.

Diploma in IT

This is the Diploma level of Higher Education Qualifications.

This level is the academic equivalent to Year 2 of a UK university honours degree and is recognised by the Qualifications & Curriculum Authority (QCA) as Level 5.

By beginning the Diploma in IT level course BCS assumes knowledge of the Certificate in IT level modules (or exemption).

Professional Graduate Diploma in IT

This level is the academic equivalent to Year 3 of a UK university honours degree.

It is recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) as Level 6.

By beginning the Professional Graduate Diploma in IT level course BCS assumes knowledge of the Certificate in IT and appropriate Diploma in IT level modules (or exemption).

The Diploma in Tourism Management aims to provide students with a broad understanding of the operational aspects of the international tourism industry, together with a knowledge of the basic principles which underpin the industry. This Diploma has been devised on the basis that students will attend a course of study of not less than 450 hours. Private study will be required over and above this figure. Each of the modules has a two and a half hour examination, set and marked by CTH.

Advanced Diploma in Tourism Management

The Advanced Diploma in Tourism Management aims to provide an understanding of the managerial, decision making and leadership aspects of the international tourism industry. In addition it is also designed to develop the independent research skills which will be required when working as a senior manager in the industry. The scheme has been devised on the basis that students will attend a course of study of not less than 450 contact hours. Private study will be required over and above this figure. Five of the six modules are assessed by an assignment and a three hour examination. The sixth module is assessed through a 5000 word Management Research Report. All assessments are marked by CTH.

ENGLISH Language courses

Graded Examinations in Spoken English(GESE):

GESE is awarded by Trinity College London. This examination is assessed in 12 different levels covering students from beginners to proficient learners. The assessment will be held on one to one basis with the Trinity examiner. This course is oriented with practical knowledge of daily life and suitable for all nationals and cultures. This course is effective for the students of the schools and colleges and those are looking for personal development in their speaking and listening.

Learning Materials:Will be provided by the institution.

Duration:3-6 Months

Recognition:This course is recognised by all European institutes and linked to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

ICM

ICM Postgraduate Diploma in Management

This is the first of a series of postgraduate programmes being developed by ICM. The new Postgraduate Diploma in Management consists of 120 credits of Masters level units in areas including Marketing, Personnel, Finance, Strategy, Management of Change and Operations Management. This qualification has been fully accredited by the UK government accreditation body Ofqual. This programme will provide the opportunity for holders to obtain direct entry into Masters courses (such as the MBA) with a range of exemptions to be given. Masters programmes usually consist of 180 credits. Thus, for example, a student with the ICM Postgraduate Diploma in Management may only be required to complete the final third of the full Masters course in order to obtain an MBA qualification. The precise number of exemptions given will be subject to individual university requirements and more information on specific progression routes will be available shortly on our website.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the new ICM Graduate Diploma in Business Management. Students may now register for this programme.

This Level 6 Award is fully accredited by the QCF and is equivalent to a Bachelors degree (BSc/BA).

Progression routes have been established for those wishing to progress onto MBA's and other Masters programmes.The course content is shown below together with an indicative teaching structure.

For those undertaking the programme on a full-time basis, the institute recommends nine months of full-time study per Level. Twelve months of study,per Level,is recommended for those undertaking the programme on a part-time basis.
